Richie Foster, Fix-It Right Plumbing

Plumbers in Box Hill, Blackburn, Mitcham and Nunawading

Box Hill and the suburbs around it are established, well-connected areas in Melbourne's middle east, where older family homes sit alongside new apartments and townhouse developments. We work across Box Hill, Blackburn, Mitcham and Nunawading, and it's an area that's changing fast.

Over the last two years we've done more than 100 jobs around Box Hill. It's a steady mix of blocked drains, taps, toilets and hot water. The housing runs from post-war and mid-century homes with mature gardens through to the new higher-density builds going up around the Box Hill centre.

In the older streets, established gardens and aging sewer lines make tree roots a regular cause of blocked drains. We check whether roots are behind a blockage rather than just clearing it, so you're not calling us back about the same drain.

Whatever the job, from a blocked drain to a hidden leak or a hot water system, we fix the cause, not just the symptom. That's been the Fix-It Right way since Richie started the business in 2007.

Cory was great. He went looking for the leak which could be heard in the wall but could not be seen. He even went up the roof to see what was going on. Although he didn't find the leak, he ended up checking all the other taps, the water pressure and servicing the water heater. I will definitely use them again if needed.

The same plumber, start to finish

The plumber who comes out and works out what's wrong is the one who fixes it, and he stays with your job from start to finish until it's done properly, top to bottom. We don't send one person to look and another to do the work, and we never pull your plumber off your job to chase the next call. Not many plumbing companies anywhere are that strict about it, and it's why the job gets done right the first time.

Why do drains block around Box Hill?

Yes, more and more. The Box Hill area has a lot of newer apartments and townhouse developments, which come with their own plumbing and shared systems. We're used to working in them and sorting the problems that come up.
