Richie Foster, Fix-It Right Plumbing

Plumbers in Sunshine, St Albans and Deer Park

Sunshine and the suburbs around it are hard-working, well-established areas in Melbourne's west, with a strong community feel and a real mix of housing. We work across Sunshine, St Albans and Deer Park, and the west keeps us busy.

Over the last two years we've done more than 80 jobs around Sunshine. It's a steady mix of blocked drains, taps, toilets and hot water, the everyday things that come up in family homes. A lot of the housing is post-war brick and weatherboard, with newer estates out towards Deer Park.

In the older streets, aging pipework and drains come into it more, and roots can get into the older sewer joints. In the newer parts it's more often hot water and taps. Either way, we find out what's actually behind a problem rather than just patching it.

Whatever the job, from a blocked drain to a hot water system or a hidden leak, we fix the cause, not just the symptom. That's been the Fix-It Right way since Richie started the business in 2007.

What local customers say

The same plumber, start to finish

The plumber who comes out and works out what's wrong is the one who fixes it, and he stays with your job from start to finish until it's done properly, top to bottom. We don't send one person to look and another to do the work, and we never pull your plumber off your job to chase the next call. Not many plumbing companies anywhere are that strict about it, and it's why the job gets done right the first time.

Sunshine plumbing questions

Do you cover the Sunshine area?

Yes, it's a regular patch. We cover Sunshine, St Albans and Deer Park, across the older established streets and the newer estates alike.

My Sunshine home is an older brick place, what should I watch for?

Post-war homes have pipework that's been in a while, so leaks and drain blockages come up over time, and roots can get into the older sewer joints. We use leak detection and drain cameras to find exactly where a problem is before we start, so we're not guessing.

Who's my water authority in Sunshine?

Greater Western Water covers Sunshine, St Albans and Deer Park. If the issue is at the meter or the sewer connection at the street, that's their responsibility, and we'll help you work out what's yours and what's theirs before any work starts.

My hot water's gone in Sunshine, can you help?

Yes. We carry the common hot water systems on the vans, so if yours can't be repaired we can often have a new one in and running the same day, sized to your household.

What plumbing jobs do you do around Sunshine?

A steady mix of blocked drains, taps, toilets and hot water, plus leak detection, burst pipes and gas. Whatever the job, we fix the cause, not just the symptom.
