Richie Foster, Fix-It Right Plumbing

Plumbers in Werribee, Wyndham Vale and Manor Lakes

Written by us, about the streets we work

Werribee and the suburbs around it anchor Melbourne's fast-growing west, a mix of the older Werribee town centre and the sprawling newer estates of Wyndham Vale and Manor Lakes. We work right across all three, and the west keeps us busy.

Over the last two years we've done nearly 200 jobs around Werribee. The split follows the housing: established homes around central Werribee bring the drain and aging-pipe work, while the newer Wyndham Vale and Manor Lakes estates are mostly hot water, taps and the occasional install issue.

In the older parts, when a drain blocks we check what's actually behind it rather than just clearing it. In the newer estates it's rarely a drain problem at all, more often a hot water system or a tap that needs sorting. Either way, we find the cause and fix it properly.

Whatever the job, from hot water to a blocked drain or a burst pipe, we fix the cause, not just the symptom. That's been the Fix-It Right way since Richie started the business in 2007.

What actually goes wrong in Werribee homes

Blocked drains in Werribee

Blocked drains are the job we do most around Werribee, Wyndham Vale and Manor Lakes, and a lot of them come down to something that went where it shouldn't. In Werribee, Brady fished a toilet cleaning tool out of a blocked toilet drain and had it flushing normally again. Where it's more than a one-off, our camera tells you before anything gets dug up.

More on how we clear blocked drains: from a slow sink to a main sewer line.

Hot water in Werribee

Just bought in Werribee? Get the hot water system looked at early. For one new owner, Thane fitted a new tempering valve and pressure relief valve on the hot water system, replaced a kitchen tap that wouldn't shut off, and brought the rest of the taps up to scratch, so there were no surprises down the track.

The same plumber, start to finish

The plumber who comes out and works out what's wrong is the one who fixes it, and they stay with your job from start to finish until it's done properly, top to bottom. We don't send one person to look and another to do the work, and we never pull your plumber off your job to chase the next call. Not many plumbing companies anywhere are that strict about it, and it's why the job gets done right the first time.

Werribee plumbing questions

Straight answers, no runaround

Do you cover the Wyndham growth areas?

Yes, it's a regular patch. We cover Werribee, Wyndham Vale and Manor Lakes, and we're across the new estates and the older town alike.

I'm in a newer Manor Lakes or Wyndham Vale estate, what usually goes wrong?

In the newer estates it's mostly hot water systems, taps and the occasional thing left over from the original build, rather than old-pipe problems. These are often quick to sort, and we're out this way regularly.

Who's my water authority in Werribee?

Greater Western Water covers Werribee, Wyndham Vale and Manor Lakes. If the issue is at the meter or the sewer connection at the street, that's their responsibility, and we'll help you work out what's yours and what's theirs before any work starts.

My hot water's gone in Werribee, can you sort it fast?

Usually yes. We carry the common hot water systems on the vans, so if yours can't be repaired we can often have a new one in and running the same day, sized to your household, rather than leaving you without.

How quickly can you get to Werribee?

The west is a regular patch, so Werribee, Wyndham Vale and Manor Lakes are well covered, and we're across the surrounding Wyndham area too.
