The beach suburbs along the bay, from Mordialloc through Aspendale, Edithvale, Chelsea and Bonbeach, are a relaxed, sought-after stretch of coast close to the city. We work across all of them, and the bayside setting shapes a fair bit of what we do.
Over the last two years we've done more than 90 jobs around Chelsea. It's a steady mix of blocked drains, taps, toilets and hot water. The housing runs from older beach homes and weatherboards through to the new builds replacing them, on low-lying, sandy ground close to the water.
That low-lying, sandy ground matters for drainage, and the older homes have older pipes. When a drain blocks around here we check what's actually behind it rather than just clearing it, so the fix holds.

Yes, plenty. The bayside suburbs have a lot of older beach houses and weatherboards with original pipework, as well as the new builds replacing them. We know the area and sort the plumbing to suit, whether it's an older place or a new coastal build.
It can. The low-lying, sandy ground near the water affects how drains run, and salt air is harder on fittings over time. We know the local conditions and work with them rather than against them.
