South Yarra and the suburbs around it are some of Melbourne's grandest, full of period homes, mansions and older apartment blocks. We work right across South Yarra, Toorak, Prahran and Malvern, and it's a busy part of town for us.
Over the last two years we've done more than 250 jobs around South Yarra. Blocked drains top the list, with taps and leak detection close behind. The area is a mix of large period homes and established flats, which throws up everything from aging pipework to the wear-and-tear of apartment living.
When a drain blocks here, tree roots are behind it about one in eight times, less than the leafier outer suburbs but still worth checking. We find out whether roots are the cause rather than just clearing the blockage, so the problem's properly sorted.
