It's usually the trees. Camberwell, Glen Iris and Surrey Hills have a lot of mature gardens and older sewer lines, and roots work their way into the pipe joints over time. We check whether roots are behind a blockage rather than just clearing it, because in these older streets they often are, and clearing without fixing the cause just means it blocks again.
