Croydon and the suburbs around it sit in Melbourne's leafy outer east, out towards the Yarra Valley, with established homes, big blocks and plenty of trees. We work across Croydon, Lilydale, Mooroolbark and Kilsyth, and it's a regular patch for us.

Over the last two years we've done more than 160 jobs around Croydon. It's a steady spread of drains, taps, hot water and leak detection. A lot of the housing is brick and weatherboard from the 1960s to 80s, on generous, tree-covered blocks.

Lachie found extremely rocky, compacted ground and an existing gas main that restricted how deep he could dig for the stormwater pipeline.

Lachie carefully hand-dug the tough rocky trench, installed a new stormwater pipeline with crushed rock support, bored under the footpath, and replaced the old downpipes.

Blocked drains in Croydon
