Richie Foster, Fix-It Right Plumbing

Plumbers in Brunswick, Coburg and Pascoe Vale

Brunswick and the suburbs around it are a real mix, old workers' cottages and period homes sitting next to new apartments and renovations. We work right across Brunswick, Coburg and Pascoe Vale, and that mix means we see a bit of everything.

Over the last two years we've done more than 120 jobs around Brunswick. Blocked drains are the most common, followed by leak detection and hot water, which lines up with an area where a lot of the housing is old enough to have aging pipes but plenty is being renovated too.

Blocked drains here are less often a tree-root problem than in the leafier suburbs, roots are behind about one in eight. More often it's the age of the pipes themselves or what's gone down them. Either way, we find out what's actually causing a blockage rather than just clearing it.

Whatever the job, from a blocked drain to a hot water system or a hidden leak, we fix the cause, not just the symptom. That's been the Fix-It Right way since Richie started the business in 2007.

The same plumber, start to finish

The plumber who comes out and works out what's wrong is the one who fixes it, and he stays with your job from start to finish until it's done properly, top to bottom. We don't send one person to look and another to do the work, and we never pull your plumber off your job to chase the next call. Not many plumbing companies anywhere are that strict about it, and it's why the job gets done right the first time.

Brunswick plumbing questions

Why do drains block around Brunswick?

Less often from tree roots than you'd think, roots are behind only about one in eight blocked drains here. In an area like Brunswick with a lot of older cottages, it's more often the age of the pipes or what's been washed down them. We find out what's actually causing the blockage so we fix the right thing, not just clear it and hope.

I'm renovating an old place in Brunswick, can you help with the plumbing?

Yes, that's a big part of our Brunswick work. A lot of the homes here are Victorian or from the early 1900s and the original plumbing often needs updating as part of a reno. We can check what you've got, find any hidden problems with leak detection, and sort the plumbing properly rather than patching over old pipework.

How quickly can you get to Brunswick?

The inner north is an area we're in regularly, so Brunswick, Coburg and Pascoe Vale are well covered, along with Brunswick East, Carlton North, Brunswick West, Coburg North and Fawkner.

My hot water's gone in Brunswick, can you sort it quickly?

Usually yes. Hot water is one of our more common Brunswick jobs, so we carry the common systems on the vans. If yours can't be repaired we can often have a new one in and running the same day rather than leaving you without.

Do you do more than drains in Brunswick?

Plenty. Blocked drains are the most common single job, but most of our work is the everyday stuff: hot water, taps, toilets, leak detection, burst pipes and gas. Whatever the job, we fix the cause, not just the symptom.

What every job comes with

  • $0 call-out. We come out and look things over. If you don't go ahead, you don't pay.

  • Three written quotes. The first gets you out of trouble, the last takes care of everything the whole-home check found, and there's one in between. All of them are proper fixes.

  • Fixed For Good. Done properly the first time, triple tested before we leave, and backed by a 10-year workmanship warranty.
