Richie’s connection to building and trades started well before his plumbing career. Growing up, he helped his dad build their childhood family home from the ground up. That home is still standing today, and one of the biggest lessons his dad taught him was that if you’re going to build or fix something, you do it properly and you build it to last.

That lesson stuck with Richie and became a big part of how he approaches plumbing and ultimately how he built Fix It Right Plumbing.

Richie started his plumbing career at just 16 years old and has been in the industry ever since. Richie made his own toolboxes and spent hours listening to homeowners’ horror stories about the service they were getting from tradespeople. One thing became crystal clear: it shouldn’t be this hard to get decent help.

That’s when Fix It Right was born. From day one, the mission was simple: listen first, explain your options clearly, and make sure every customer can make the right choice for their home. That focus on care, transparency, and personalisation has been the core of everything we do and it still drives us today.
Outside of work, Richie is a dad of three and loves spending time with his family. He’s very outdoorsy and enjoys surfing, boating, snowboarding, wakeboarding and getting out on the scooters with his kids.
